It would be nice if you would explain how to do this for people who use a PC - not a MAC

I have a question. When I'm in Print Layout it is amazing, but when I put it in Web Layout it is not formatted right. How do I keep the Print Layout format even on the Web Layout screen?

Thank you for the video, but I'm not sure many of the experts who address this issue truly understand the question being asked. For me, the issue is that Word 2016 is installed to open in web layout view by default when I want it to open in print layout view. Based on the way my documents appear in web layout, I'm not sure why anyone would need such a view. The documents are hardly recognizable. Some experts in the field comment that there's no way to set the default view in Word 2016. Perhaps they're correct in terms of there being no actual wording to that effect. However, there is a switch that will change the view you get when opening a document. It's simple really although it seems to be the "Big Foot" of the Microsoft Office support world. You know, there are occasional sightings but no one ever sees it twice. To open your documents in print layout view, click the File menu from inside any Word document and then select Options at the bottom of the menu. Stay on the General menu and find the section entitled "Start up options". Uncheck the second box ("Open e-mail attachments and other uneditable files in reading view). Close Word and then reopen your document. You should see it in the print layout (edit) view now. (insert polite applause here) I hope this helped. : )

Hi, why is the table of contents always on the right page of my book (to be). I see on Word, and even when I place it on the left side, the small outside margin shows the page is still on the right!! It messes everything up, I don't get it. Do you have an answer for this? Thanks.

Hello. Thank you, but "how" did you get the Microsoft Word page "white" and the background "grey"? I need to do that! -- Mine view is all white -- both the page and the background on which I "view" everything is white on white. I would like white page on either blue or grey (or any color) background. *Not* the background of the page itself... but the view on the computer. Nobody is making a video on "how to do this" problem. Hoping you can help or direct me to another link. I cannot find anything. Thank you for your time. Dee.
