Thirty-three-year-old Quinton Nixon was crying as he was found guilty of murdering 34-year-old Toni Westover following an argument they had in 2022. The judge read the verdict, convicting Nixon of two counts of murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence. Nixon was sentenced to life in prison and could be eligible for parole after serving 21 years.

Ohio man Quinton Nixon, 31, was arrested in August 2022 following a standoff with Akron police for allegedly shooting and killing 34-year-old mother Toni Westover. Westover was found dead inside a Kenmore home in July 2022. Police searched for Nixon after receiving several tips about his whereabouts and eventually found him hiding inside a University Park attic. Nixon was charged with murder and will represent himself during the trial. He faces life in prison.

This case is a sad example of don’t do drugs and choose the people you associate with very carefully .

The tears started flowing when the realization hit that accountability had come to collect.

The judge was very very well spoken. Drugs and guns are horrible combination. So many lives affected, the victims family, his family. Just sad

I think that he feels embarrassed and ashamed of what he’s put his family through.

Remember, the gun he used wasn't his. He was the only one there without a gun.

Even if you can’t afford a lawyer you’re still able to get a public defender which is better than defending yourself

He’s not crying while the judge is reading his sentence, he’s crying because of what his family is going through because of his actions..

No body should be allowed to represent themselves on a murder charge.

Everybody is a tough guy with a gun, until they have to face the repercussions of their actions.

During this trial I had questions about why the victim was emptying her purse in a stranger’s house and pulling out her gun that according to witnesses it was in a holster but no one ever stated how, during the struggle it came out of the holster although he stated he never saw it in a holster. I’m under the belief that the victim pulled this gun out to intimidate him and he responded by grabbing the gun and the mayhem began. I’m ve been in many life threatening situations and I’ve never seen anyone empty out a purse and pull out a gun in a total stranger’s house. I think he got the upper hand in an unfortunate situation and that witnesses corroborated their stories before being interviewed by the detectives and that he acted in bad faith by grabbing that purse afterwards. One witness testified that he came in the back room asking for help. Perps generally don’t ask for help although it has happened but not in a situation where the incident is occurring

The court says he’s guilty, that doesn’t mean he is .They saw how they wanted to see it.I truly believe the defendant.

This is why they say don’t do drugs, not because they’re always bad, but because things will eventually get out of control. Stay sober, especially if you have kids! Staying sober is the best trend to set for the next person and the biggest flex I know 💪💯🙏🏽.

When this dude first laid eyes on the judge, he knew he was getting smoked. When they showed her for the first time in this video, I was scared and I didn't even do anything. She even looked cold when listening to the victims' impact statements.
