I love the TV show because they made enough changes to keep someone like me, who has read the comic, surprised. But they kept it similar enough to not throw me off.

My brother showed me what Omniman did to the Guardians and I'm binging the show right now. It's so good.

One thing: I think Omni Man struggling with the Guardians is actually a great choice beyond extending the episode's duration and making for a more memorable scene. Because this way, it makes sense why he felt the need to kill them after he found out Mark was getting his powers. In this continuity, the Guardians were a legitimate threat to him, so if Mark were to coordinate with them, it would be bad. If he can just blitz and one-shot them all, there's really no more necessity to killing those guardians than there is killing the new guardians that took their place. This way there's a huge gap between the original guardians and their ragtag replacements. It now makes sense why he doesn't care that Robot assembles a second wave of them. Because they're comparatively no serious threat to him at all, he has no reason to care about them whatsoever. This was further highlighted when in the episode he was watching over them, he quietly uttered: "Pathetic." They're nothing compared to the original guardians. And now that actually means something.

Their VA's fits so well I didn't even recognized it was Steven voicing Mark. And it was Pimento doing Rex after I saw someone mentioned it in other Invincible video

I really like what they did with Amber in the show but I hope it doesn’t change the Mark and Eve relationship dynamic because that was such a huge part of the comics that I thought was one of the best parts of the series.

5:05 "omni-man isn't as tough as you think he is"
I think he was faking it, purposely taking damage to throw the investigation off. Which is solidified once you see what he can do (and the damage he can endure) in episode 2 and 3.

Yeah, I loved the OmniMan vs Guardians fight in the show. It was intense and got my attention real quick. I love this show.
If it happened in real life and I happened to be Red Rush in that situation, I would have targeted OmniMan's throat instead of his chest. The least it would do is force him to drop me, if not break his windpipe.

Your getting way ahead of yourself here with the angstrom stuff just hold off comparing anything past the first 20-25 issues, you need to remember that robot puts the maulers in a cell after helping him

Mark and Debbie were always asian that wasn't changed to reflect the actors. And William is gay he's just not out in the beginning of the comic.

In the Amazon series, Mark reads comics of his favorite character SEANCE DOG. And he kinda looks like he could be Dr. Strange's dog. But in the comics, it's actually SCIENCE DOG. And that character looks more like it could be Iron Man's dog. Not really sure why the show changed it.

You should make an updated video after the final epsiode releases. I mean their attitudes, how the characters are portrayed and the power scaling are different

Although the show is doing a good job adapting the comic. The comic is way better and is the definitive way to experience the story of Invincible

I think the whole thing about updating the characters and it making no differences to the story or characters is the whole point, how the character looks, their gender, their ethnicity, it doesn't matter and they shouldn't make a point to it
It's like in real life, people are built different and there really is no deeper meaning or significance to it

Damien Darkblood isn't in the comics as much as he's in the show. And in the comics he has fangs/tusks.

I would argue he purposefully got himself hit to better sell how he tried to help but got beat as well

Edit: i would add that the flaxxan scene is there to help us suspect he went easy on the guardians, to make us think like wait he destroys a planet but struggles against 6-7 ppl this doesn't add up because the amount of power shown there is off the chart

I like the fight with the guardians. It makes more sense why omniman fought them first and took them out by surprise. Obviously Omniman could beat them but it shows they would be an actual obstacle in his path and not just cannon fodder.

What's sad to me is that they made all these changes to Omni man and how it plays out for episode structure.
