You can make your own poutine.... but you have to make sure your fries are really crispy (if you are starting from scratch you'll want to double fry your potatoes), fresh cheese curds, and the "gravy" is a vegetable based brown sauce. Every one has their own sauce preferences though, so feel free to choose your favorite. And eat it immediately. At my house poutine is a meal we have when money is tight, I use "brown gravy" from the bulk barn (I haven't been state side since kindergarten so I don't know if you have this) and we just shred whatever cheese we have on hand, then we add in what ever little bits of meat we have usually bacon. Also, my Mom was from northern Saskatchewan (When she was there her town had no name, just a number). I was born and raised in northern Ontario near the Michigan border.

I started watching you when our power here in okc went out for 13 days in November from a random ice storm (2020 🙄) and let me tell you, I'm addicted to watching your videos, and started penny pinching my meals because $91/week unemployment and you've literally saved our lives in so many ways because depression is real when trying to figure out food or bills etc THANK YOU SO MUCH for being you 💖

I live in rural Ontario, this warmed my heart. Poutine - fries with cheese curds (or mozzarella) and smothered in brown gravy!!! Try it you won't be regret it!

So much canada love! You have to let the aero melt to feel the bubbles. Caramilk is better from the freezer. It melts better and the caramel is thicker. Dip all dressed chips in sour cream or Philadelphia onion dip. Poutine is the best...especially when you get fresh curd that squeaks. Yum! Im 8th generation Ontario born on both sides. Couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
