How Not to Get Declined for CITI Credit Cards

With Citi, it doesn’t matter if it’s both cards applied from Citi or a different issuer, I got denied because I applied for a Cap1 two days prior to applying for Citi Custom Cash. Their reason for denying is too many recent inquiries even though I only had ONE inquiry on my CR prior to applying.

Completely different experience from mine. I got automatically approved for my Citi Double Cash, but Chase turned me away. With that said, the downgrade stuff is something I will keep in mind.

I just got approved for the diamond 💎 preferred card which is one of there balance transfer cards I'm thinking about applying for the citi double cash card as well 🤔 and I was approved for chase 2 cards, capital one 3 cards and America express 3 cards, I have excellent credit scores in the 800's I have all these cards and hardly use them I just like to have them just in case, they became really handy when I was laid off, why i needed the balance transfer card otherwise I hardly use them because I keep a job

Aye the call back is 100% accurate and true. In term's of chase how would you apply for chase card's? Just got approved for Sapphire reserve and wondering when I should apply for another chase card.. I also was also wondering if card's are managed by different banks i.e Amazon prime which is "partnered with chase". Does that count or how does that work? is it truly a chase. Thanks in advance

TOO Late seeing this vid. GREAT credit score but got...rejected for "too many inquiries" ?? I only had 2 inquiries from 7 months ago. But had just got approved for a different card minutes prior (that's why they declined off a single same day inquiry). Sucks

Great video! I have had the citi secured card for 3 going on 4 years (2017). I don’t know what their deal is. Experian 766, trans 726, equifax 722 Fico.They told me last year I didn’t use it enough. It’s hard to use a card with no rewards. I have chase, Amex, navy fed, etc reward cards. I try to use it every other month at the gas station. Should I apply for another card through citi? Or should I wait another year? Lol

I applied for a furniture Card the day before I applied for the citi diamond preferred.. citi denied me because I had too many inquiries!! I only had 2. One from Synchrony bank and one from Citi (which they just pulled)... so when can I apply again for a citi credit card?
