I've been hearing the word "pip" whenever I watch a forex trading vid. But no one explained what this one is. Thanks Matt. Now I know what that word is. 😁

For those who don’t get it. A pip
For each currency it goes upto 4decimal except for jpy which is 2 decimal and it is usually the last decimal place of a price . The pip value is 0.0001 and for jpy it is 0.01

Now the exit price from his side of explanation was 1.2631 and the entry is 1.2621 ryt? To calculate how many pip gained or lost, it is the difference between the entry and the exit / 0.0001

Doing the math
1.2631-1.2621=0.001 then/ by the value of a pip 0.0001=10
Therefore from 1.2621 to 1.2631 you have gained 10pip

Same goes for jpy but it’s been divided by 0.01
