I don't think the impact of this study is too high, as index investing by EPFO is a portion of the total investment. As you said, just two companies form a total of 50 stocks out of NIFTY 50, which greatly reduces the risk. Also, if Adani keeps falling, which would lower its market cap, it may eventually get kicked out of NIFTY 50. Hence, the risk may not be so high as you are highlighting in this video.

Side note.. I can't stop PF but looks like something fishy is going there. No interest credit, EPFO pages offline and claims not being honoured ( as per certain tweets). All being blamed on s/w issues but software not working for a year is a joke. I have considered PF as notional.
