I suppose when talking with the press you are also talking to the countries who are causing the problems, so nothing can really be said without giving away protective information that would benefit the problem countries in terms of advancement or defense.

The General continues to state we, the American People funding Ukraine defense, to ask Ukraine…

How about no more money till you can “read out” ANYTHING of actual interest to the American people. Till the people leading can show true leadership and speak to their actions on our behalf it should all be shut.
