Thank you, this is the best advice I've seen to date on the exam, (as there is very little detailed advice and sample answers around!!)...Do you have a similar video for the Writing section?

The information is clear, the approach is really professional and the time given to the video is appropriate; I can dedicate 10 or 15 minutes attentively, not 45 as most of the videos last. As we said in Colombia: short but substantial. Bogotá in lockdown.

I hope pen and paper are allowed during the online exams, otherwise this part of the test is simply impossible. I appreciate the effort put into this video, short and to the point. Especially since there is some unknown error that doesn't let me even see the practice test.

The obvious downsides to this test include: 1. It prioritises speed at each step, unlike the regular main suite exams that give more time to respond in most of the parts. 2. No negotiation, no discussion, only a monologue. 3. Therefore, it does not better reflect normal spoken discourse. I would only recommend this to my students requiring a quick evaluation, or lower level ones who aren't comfortable with discussion.

Why is the Speaking test so difficult on Linguaskill. I have had 10 students take Linguaskill this year and all got minimum B2 standard in the all other sections with a lot of C1 standards and all got only B1 in the Speaking which is their strongest section.

One student got B1 in Linguaskill and then proceeded to get a C1 when she did the face to face exam. It's a great exam but they really need to sort out the Speaking

I have spoken to other teachers and academies and they have the same problem.

Hi, just have a question, with specific reference to part 2 of the exam. If, when reading a sentence, a candidate stalls or stutters and then reads the sentence correctly/better (within the allotted time frame), would the candidate be marked on their first attempt, second, or both?

The speaking part in this exam isn´t clear at all. I have had students get B2 in the exams and even some repeated when clearly they were C1 and in some cases C2 students. I don´t recommend it to students as this is not clear so I recommend Aptis C1 exam.
