Great explanation! I also use 2.0mm picks for less string noise when playing metal riffs. I've always used .8mm-1mm but as i got more into gallop chugging, tremelo picking and generally fast alternate picking I found the thinner picks are just too sloppy and make a lot of noise.

Guitar picks that are thick are in my opinion most stable they gave me much more stability for getting those heavy chugs and those fast down picks and plus I had thin ones break really fast after two songs

For me, it's more about rigidity than thickness. I want it to go through the string without bending. If it's too thick you basically end up drastically shortening the life of your strings.

Yellow or orange tortex tri tip once upu find your pick you try all other picks and you go back to that pick it's like finding a tone

I personally love the Jazz III’s, they’re a good size for me. I do sometimes use a coin though, usually a 10 cent piece (AUD): it works really well when playing rock and metal for me as it gives a very nice tone in my opinion

I get way better speed and comfort out of thin/light picks. Thick always feels less precise to me, and I'll never get something like that, the gauge of a small boulder.

I had insane picking hand carpal tunnel issues. I switched to Jazz III picks and it hasn’t been an issue since. Super odd.

I use Gravity Gold Series Mini Sunrise. I don't like thicc picks. I like it tiny.
