Here is a video of the GC vs Kubota in the garden compact line up of tractors. The Massey wins hands down I think. Just a more user friendly tractor and Idle is 500 rpm lower on the GC and hydraulic pump works great. I think the hydro is bit loud on the Kubota...
Thanks for watching!

Ive owned my Little Massey GC for 6 years now. Never once had a problem. It still has the original belts on the motor and mower deck. Ive never bought one single part for it since Ive owned it other than oil filters. When you compare 3 point strength / bucket strength. GPH on the hydro pump/ Backhoe ripping force.. Massey is stronger than every other tractor. Don't believe me? Go spec them out by class. I loved it so much I just bought a second larger New Massey 1734E with loader and backhoe. Again I compared them all and Massey topped the list John Deere was the worst buy of all. I don't get why people like Kubota. Blows my mind.

Massey Ferguson is a 5 year powertrain warranty. I own a GC and love it. I can lift my tractor up with the hydraulics at idle, when I went to my local Kubota dealer the BX would not do that, nor did it have the boom float feature on the TLB. Personal preference. I only have done oil and filter maintenance, never a problem and my dealer really takes care of me. Thumbs up Massey.

I have a BX25 and work it hard. 1400 hours on it, digging and lifting 500 pound rocks, etc. The machine has lost a lot of paint, but the only problem has been the electric fuel pump, and lousy tubeless,  leaking front tires(fixed with tubes). It is a breeze to operate and usually I seldom exceed 2200rpm.  Someone suggested people who run the engines over 3000rpm consistently may have issues. I like the pivot pedal, it keeps me from accidently heading in the wrong direction, which could result in a tip-over. Access to the engine sucks, and after watching this video, I will contemplate moving the bush guard forward, so I can easily remove the entire enclosure for easy and unobstructed access.  I think a one inch spacer should be adequate.

I always find it funny that tractor people are very alike in many ways but are very brand loyal and take offense to anyone bashing their tractor. Even if you make a video complaining about a tractor you bought, guys will be offended. Personally I am looking to buy another tractor this year and like these comparison videos. Thanks

I purchased a GC2610 and have no regrets!!! after spending 100's of hours, & months before buying a sub-compact tractor!!! To me pound for pound and inch for inch,  dollar for dollar, it was the best choice I made!!!! Don't get me wrong I love John Deere, but cost  a little more money!!! All in all they are all good units!!!! NEVER WOULD BUY A MAHINDRA "JUNK", BOAT ANCHORS

I would take the Iseki-Massey over the Kubota, both are good machines and you can't go wrong either way but I've had both to play with for an extended period of time and prefer the Massey.

I see a bunch of fairly recent kubota purchasers posting here as to the merits of the 'botas after only a couple hundred hours. In my experience...after they get some real hours on them they start having wiring issues just like the mahindras. I'm still running an old massey 3165 and she's never missed a beat...so my next purchase will be another massey.

i got a pretty good deal on a used 2007 kubota BX2350. it only has 395 hours on it. it came with an almost new condition 54" mower, a 46" rear snowblower, and a heated cab. i paid $8, 500 for it and hope to have it many years. i looked at the GC1705 and i do believe it has better fit and finish, i think they are both good machines. the fact i was able to get a decent used machine is why i went kubota.

a new GC1705 with 60" mower is $11, 500 ADD $2, 000 for a snow blower and i would be at $13, 500 WITHOUT a cab. if you want a bad if you want to add a cab its another $4, 000 so the total would be somewhere around $17, 500, a heater is yet another $700
for $8, 500 i got a tractor, snow blower, mower, and heated cab. with 390 hours on it, it should have many years left in it.

if i was buying new i would have gone GC1705, but i found a decent deal on a good used BX

I love my massey GC1710. The shit I put it through, I'm surprised I didn't break anything. Solid machine that goes above my expectations.

massey lifts more, higher, and quicker. Kubota is a good machine but its clumsy, slower, and alot more $. Our acrerage community is all 3acre pieces of land. 7 masseys 2410, 2600, 1720, 4 john deeres all 2305's and 2 BX25. All nice but with all of our little tests and teasing the only machines to out do the others is the Masseys, with the exception of the lifts we did with rocks...(the john deeres lift at least 100lbs more than the massey or BX. Have fun with the smack talk :D

After test-driving the 1720 and the BX25, I feel the MF is the better machine by far. The Kubota is more clumsy to operate, tougher to service and does not have the power of the Massey. My dilemma however is that I have 4 Kubota dealers that are only 30 minutes away. The Massey dealer is an hour away and he is the only one in NJ. I am new to tractors and looking to purchase one with a 48" snowblower attachment. machine will be used for snow only.

the Massey is a better machine. That being said, , the hydro pedal on the Kubota  can be operated with less foot movement than the Massey by simply pulling up on the forward pedal with your toe ! I've done this, its very simple and smooth .

Kubota's are easy to work on, and that's why I like them.

I stand by Massey Ferguson 110%. I have ALOT of experience with the Massey Ferguson GC series and have some exsperiance with the other brands and I would hands down pay a bit more to get the Massey. Plus I find my MF dealer is set up better for servicing equipment as MF has a FULL AG line up, not just compacts. They can come service at my farm rather then bringing my tractor in.

I just bought a BX25D 2 days ago. I'm from pa and I moved tons of snow with it. I've done my research. Kubota worked for me hands down. Has great power and easy to use.
Don't go by the msrp price. Go to a dealer and talk. Normally they will give you money off. I called 6 different places, got the lowest price and the guy matched it.
So I rate the kubota a 10 out of 10. (So far that is) will see when I hit 50 hrs. I'll have to do the maintance on it.

I notice too the Kubota seems much quieter then the Massey and the engine runs a little smoother but again Kubota does shine in small engines I guess that explains why a lot of other compact tractors, lawn maintenance, turf equipment and many other companies choose them. I do notice one thing too, when you show the tractors from the front it seems you would have better visibility with the Massey then Kubota. The platform layout on the Kubota seems it may take a little getting used to but not too bad. I've so far test driven a John Deere 1025 TLB much simpler layout then both of the other ones here implements are very easy to use and more ergonomic then most I have seen, but god damn that price and what they charge for attachments is ridiculous... The biggest thing attractive to me on the Kubota BX25 TLB is the fact that it's $3, 000 less then what the Deere starts at and for the base price of the Deere I can have a front blade and a belly mower added on there and still beat the Deere's base price. This video has aided me in what machine I will end up choosing, thanks for showing this.

I have a GC1710 with the loader and backhoe. I have owned it for about a year now. Overall it is a great tractor, however I have one major issue with it - the location and design of the forward/reverse foot pedals. When my foot is wet, especially when I am turning to my right to look behind while pulling something or using a 3PT attachment, it sometimes slips off the forward pedal towards the reverse pedal. When this happens, it gets stuck between the two pedals resulting in an extremely dangerous situation where your foot can be stuck with the forward control engaged. This is, in my opinion, a major design flaw which could easily be fixed with different pedal design by making the pedal pads so they do not overhang the pedal levers towards each other, creating a situation where if your foot is in between them and it cannot be lifted directly upwards because it gets held in place by the pedal pads.
I also have a minor issue with the throttle cable sticking in cold weather which I hope to remedy with throttle cable lubrication.
Also, to engage the loader float position, I have to push the loader lever forward much harder than I should have to, so much so that I (and many others who own this tractor) assumed it was not active on my loader until I took the advice from other owners who said to just jam it forward really hard and it will engage.
That's just my .02.

I think I would prefer the design on the Kubota hood. I like the more substantial grill guard. On the Massey you could not open the hood with that large of grill guard. I think that is the reason for the Kubota design.

Was this video shot in Cumming GA? I'd like to see a comparison to a comparable  Mahindra.
