Make sure that both your monitor and cable or properly functioning. If you have checked that, make sure that it is plugged into the dedicated graphics if is is being used or the correct port on the back of the mother board. Also check that your monitor is set to the correct input.

Yeah, also great for how much power it uses (very good Performance per watt).

yes providing your psu supports it any gpu will run.

Yep, it supports 2nd and 3rd gen. Intel Core processors (LGA 1155 socket). It should fit into the Elite 431+.

Yes it does. It just doesn't have PCIe 3.0 as far as I remember.

Yeah... thanks for the info! I have an OEM Radeon 5870 1GB so I don't think that will be a problem. Thanks again!

Yes, just don't do it on a conductive surface.

Tables are fine (provided they don't conduct).

Normal stereo speakers are perfectly fine on the onboard sound card. If you plan to use high end audiophile headphones or speakers, a dedicated sound card is highly recommended. People running a 5.1 or 7.1 set up usually have a receiver to power the speakers so audio through HDMI or optical audio should work fine.

Probably. Use the XMP on the RAM, and you should be fine.

Yeah, the 4-pin with black and yellow wires is for motherboards that don't require as much power. This motherboard has an 8-pin EPS cable - you need to use that one - on your PSU it's the 4+4 pin CPU cable (all black and yellow).

Yeah, it's about 2 years old now. It would function, but I would recommend the HD 7000 series (HD 7800 and up get the AMD Never Settle Reloaded bundle of games).

The MSI B75MA-P45 and B75MA-E33 are both M-ATX boards. If you have a midtower case that supports ATX motherboards, you can upgrade to the Z77A-G41. As for overclocking, I would high recommend upgrading your PSU because a 430W power supply will not provide enough power for overclocking. A larger heatsink is also recommended for overclocking your CPU

Yes, they would both work perfectly fine. You will not be able to rn the 680 in SLI in the future though.

The motherboard does support overclocking, but it's up to other factors including the maximum wattage of your PSU and the quality of the chip.

The other specs seem sufficient, but it comes down to the chip now.

The PCIe slots will run at PCIe 2.0 speeds. Otherwise, there shouldn't be any problem with the CPU.

You'll need a higher-end board if you want to really overclock, make sure it has an additional SATA controller for those extra ports. Most boards above 100 should have VRM coolers and perhaps 4 SATA 6Gbps if you go around 130-150.

Continued : 4-pin fan headers are typically for CPU fan coolers, with 3-pin for the case fans.

Hope this helped!

as for the graphics card, ill have to wait a year or two to upgrade that since its just over a year old. technically im on a budget as im saving some of my money for a portable disc golf basket and a few payments on a car, whenever i get one.
