The year is 1907. It is 10 years after his disappearance from the Paris Opera House and the Phantom has escaped to a new life in New York where he lives amongst the screaming joy rides and freak-shows of Coney Island. In this new electrically-charged world, he has finally found a place for his music to soar. All that is missing is his love – Christine Daaé. Now one of the world’s finest sopranos, Christine is struggling in an ailing marriage to Raoul. So, it is with excitement she accepts an invitation to travel to New York and perform at a renowned opera house. In a final bid to win back her love, the Phantom lures Christine, her husband, and their young son Gustave from Manhattan; to the glittering and glorious world of Coney Island… not knowing what is in store for them…

Maybe not the full version, but exactly the part that makes me cry. I love the musical SO much. The music is mesmeric..However, the plot was what made this sequel so underrated, sadly :/ Such a shame not many know about this incredible song...

Have you noticed she never once said "I love you" to either man the first show and this is her first time admitting it to Erik? Sure in All I Ask of You she said, "Say you love me, " "Love me that's all I ask of you." But she's telling Raoul to love her, to protect her, never has she once implied "*I* love you." And still in Love Never Dies, she never really says it to Raoul. But here she says it to Erik.

I have no idea why this *entire* comment section is mostly a conversation between Erik and Christine, with the occasional Raoul or Gustave appearing, but I'm living for it xD

They need to make this into a movie like now or 2019

While this snippet is great, it's the section RIGHT BEFORE THIS that really seals the deal (when they were on the chair singing together and he takes her in his arms). I think a large part of why this is so good is because Ben and Anna's voices are perfectly suited for each other in every way. Ben has even said so himself, that his and Anna's musical phrasing are very similar - so they hit the right notes at the same time and they pause at the same places and it just really embodies the way Christine and the Phantom are of the same soul. It's so rare to hear two voices come together like this and I find myself replaying all the parts where they sing together - I especially love when they harmonize on "and I heard those ravishing refrains". 😊😊😊

This could technically be seen as a 20-ish year old woman and 60-ish year old man having a seizure.

But all jokes aside, I love this song and movie. Thanks for posting this. :)

this version is so much more sensual than the West End version, Saying this as a Ramin and Sierra fan. I can truly believe that Anna O'Byrne's Christine is PISSED at Erik and he's in torment

My opinion, Ben is amazing Phantom and I don’t see anything wrong about him touching Anna. They’re both professionals so it’s normal to touch each other.

The voice they used in "10 long years living a mere facade of life" here is I think Ramin's. I mean, I can't be wrong. I'm a huge Ramin fan lol

First time I've see the Ben/Anna version (i'm a Ramin & Sierra fan, hate me if you want) and honestly Anna looks like she's about to slap him sometimes!
And Ben at some points looks almost murderous....

This sure is a song that exists, huh. Also, WHY does this feel like it goes on for a solid 20 minutes when you're watching the musical?
