This Strange Realm of Mine certainly does live up to its name. It is strange, but beautiful for all of its uniqueness. It is a game that is both shocking and poignant in its story and methods. Playing a a character who has just died, you will jump from genre to genre of retro gaming as you meet NPCs and help them (help yourself) cope with death, loss, anxiety, and unresolved issues of a life that was taken from you unexpectedly. Can you keep it together? Will you find your solace... or just go totally insane?

I love this game!!! I picked it up when it launched and have since played through it twice. The story is deep and introspective. There are a bunch of cool references and Easter eggs. Make sure to look out for a Fight Club reference and the mention of everyone’s favorite alcoholic portal hopping scientist.

Another great review. This game looks very interesting & I will probably pick it up for that crazy sale price. I enjoy themes like psychology & introspection but it rarely seems to be done right in games. Your comment about being bad at FPS games made me smile, I'm bad too so I'm glad it isn't crazy brutal or anything - keep it up dude, have a great day! :)
