My general take on Nixon was that he had many monumental accomplishments. Some good; some with profound unintended consequences, but objectively significant. Watergate was a soft coup.

Until coming across this Chanel, I can’t say that I ever “got” him. Nothing really resonated. Hearing him in his own words has been an eye-opener in the sense that the same words on paper simply don’t convey just how insightful and profoundly smart he was.

Even with his great convictions and good philosophy & integrity, a great leader can still make big blunders, probably swayed by bad advisors. So steadfastness & stubbornness is a must when one feels and is confident about one's stance and integrity but always check it out on the true correctness. Steadfast but still allow flexibility, the final arbitrator is Wisdom Not Just knowledge. Good Life lessons for lifetime learning! From all these, I think He was still a Great leader!
