Starring Talya Çelebi and Cenay Türksever, "Gelin" is the life story of two people from entirely different worlds: Hançer, who gives up her dreams for her loved ones on the one hand, and Cihan, who has fire in his eyes on the other.

Hançer, who gets her name from her sharp gaze, faces an offer that will turn her life upside down. Taking advantage of the fact that Hançer is poor and has a family that will not cause trouble, Mukadder offers her to marry her son and give birth to a son. Hançer, who dreams of finding the love of her life and having a happy marriage, first rejects this offer, but when she learns that her brother has a fatal illness, she is forced to accept the offer.

I find it frustrating how Hancer is victimizing herself. She’s pregnant with the man she loves, and it’s obvious he loves her deeply too. So, why walk away? Before discovering her pregnancy, her actions were understandable, but now the circumstances have changed. She should fight for her family and her own happiness and not just give in to Bayzer.

Cihan’s behavior toward Hancer and Melih is unacceptable. She is a single woman she is allowed to be whomever she chooses. He could have simply served Hancer with a court order demanding a paternity test. He makes no sense for a so called educated businessman to be attacking any man that comes around Hancer. She is not his property at least let her breathe. Cihan never once had Beyza follow with all the suspicious behavior she had. He is behaving like a psychopath.
