my cousin got me into your music when I was 8-9. I'm 17 now. she's getting married soon and this song reminds me of her and our childhood. I hope they enjoy their life together. I will really miss her but I'm so happy for her. I just hope she never regrets her choice.

I'm from the U.S, didn't grow up around anyone who spoke Farsi but studied it for 3 years during my degree program. I have no one to practice Farsi with so my speaking skills are awful now. Regardless, when I studied back in 2015 I would listen to this song a lot along with Radio Farda to try and surround myself in Farsi when not in class. It was my sad form of immersion. While I forgot the meaning of parts of this song I can literally sing almost the entire song from memory. Something I do remember in Farsi applies to Madmazel however which is, Chi Sedoyay.
