Simple and elegant. I'm buying the pieces tomorrow!
(I mostly only use bearing-guided round over bits, so this is perfect.)

Hey there. Thanks for making/uploading a video so quickly however I have two bones to pick. 1 - You didn't tell us you made a hollow in the underside of the table to make room for the collet/spindle you cheeky devil. 2 - Now I have to buy another router as my 1400 won't be as easy to change height.

Seriously though great idea and you have helped me save money and space in the shop. Many thanks and all the best.

Are you using the Festool y-adapter for dust extraction? I am assuming you are, as I notice you connect both bottom on the Dewalt 611 and on the Festool dust hood.

I am assuming the round over but you are using is a 1/8" round over? I don't think anything larger would fit through the MFT hole. Great concept! I just ordered and received the Festool dust collection parts from the CMS as well as a set of dogs from Fine Tool Works.

I am however more curious if you hollowed out the bottom of the MFT top. I am going to try to do the same thing with a rigid trim router I have. It is too bad the OF 1400 doesn't have many mounting points. Great videos!

What are you using for that chip guard/fence at the end?  Looks like it pops right into the MFT and is a festool product

Great idea! One question: do you also work on your router table with a fence? Thank You!

Why not mount the festool router under the table?

Is it possible to change bit from above the table or do you have to remove the router each time?
