I have on of these in original condition with the fuel injection and I am probably going to convert it to carbs since I have a spare set of carbs laying around. Your bike originally came in black and chrome as well. Very cool bike, lots of history behind them, and yes the fuel injection they put on them was terrible.

I have a 1980 kz1000 shaft that i got recently, it needs a bunch of electrical work and some transmission work. My problem is i cant find a free repair manual for the shaft variant before 1981, because they changed the transmission between 1980 and 81 because they removed the kickstart tongs. most bikes have a free pdf download manual. but i cant find one anywhere for mine. Do you have a suggestion?
