WSJ Editor to Speak at Press Club Event Thursday | 3 Minutes With 2-21-24

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- On Thursday, February 22, the Youngstown Press Club welcomes Wall Street Journal assistant editor Paul Beckett, who is in charge of efforts to free Evan Gershkovich, a Wall Street Journal reporter who was detained in Russia on March 29, 2023, while doing his job as a journalist.
Mr. Beckett will speak about Evan, who he is and what’s being done to secure his release.
To further support journalists’ rights, the Youngstown Press Club will make a contribution to the Committee to Protect Journalists, a non-profit organization which promotes press freedom worldwide.
