I had a couple of you ask about this 1977 Ford F100, when you saw it in the back of one of my videos, so I thought I'd better film it. It's a nice, solid truck all the way around. The body is straight, the interior is very nice, and it has a rebuilt 302 V8 under the hood. It's a great daily driver as is, or would make a nice show quality truck with a little work. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for taking a look!

Filmed at Gateway Classic Cars in Fairmont City, IL

MacLeod's description:

With a jumping bass and off-beat syncopation, this is straight from Memphis' Beale Street. The Hammond organ and electric guitar play together as longtime friends, while the melody changes hands from guitar to organ to electric piano. 011

My Dad came home with this (1977) step side one day.
He was so proud of it. I drove it to school my senior year in high school (1979)

@805ROADKING I do like the look of the stepsides too. Thanks for checking it out!

@lonestarbeer08 Yeah, I've let a few go that I wish I could have back too. It's cool that you still have the truck though. Thanks for watching!

@GeneralGHustler I like the look of stepsides too. Thanks for checking it out!

@killakobra Yeah, you don't see to many of these. Thanks for taking a look!

@PonyPower71 It's definitely not something you see everyday. They made a lot fewer of the stepsides and obviously most didn't survive in this condition. Thanks for checking it out!

They don't do restoration work at that dealership. Most of the vehicles are sold on consignment, so it's up to the owner to get them ready to sell. I like the people that work there and I believe they will answer any questions honestly. Obviously, in my videos I'm just taking a quick glance at the vehicles, so you'd want to check them out better or ask more questions before buying one.

@JohnAllanification It definitely has been well cared for and should make someone a nice driver. Thanks for having a look!

@koioo2 The F100 was the entry level half-ton pick-up. Then the F150 was considered a "heavy half" half-ton. The F250 was the heavier duty three quarter ton truck.

@coffeefish Maybe, they didn't mention anything about it being rebuilt. I couldn't tell you for sure.

@talfacprez It's definitely a nice looking truck. Thanks for watching!

@bisquik3006 They're selling it on consignment, so of course they have to get as much for the owner as possible. It looks like a nice solid truck though.

@hunhun23 It really is a nice solid pick-up. Thanks for watching!

@wyattearp1969 Very true, factory air wasn't as common at the time on trucks and finding it still functioning is rare these days. It's a real nice driver and with a bit of work it could be made show worthy.

@Firemind94 That's cool that you had one. Like I said in the video, a 77 F100 was my first vehicle when I turned 16. Mine was the regular styleside too.

@TheLionsDenNews Believe me, there's no simple answer to that question. Generally a car is considered a classic when it's rare, collectible, or sufficiently aged. At 34 years old, I'd say this pick-up is getting close....also because there are a lot of clubs and enthusiasts interested in Ford Trucks.

Wow ! We used to have a '68 Ford Ranger ( electric blue & white ) called him "FRED " . This brought back memories .
