I had a similar glass pico back in the early 2000s, filled with sps, and changed with seawater, with a phoeinix 150hq over it, and it was the best looking tank I ever had. Every coral grew like wild fire. two clones in there, I think mine was 15g.

What’s impressive is the placement of everything so that one thing doesn’t grow to kill everything else in the first few months

I remember moving to Florida back in 2002 and was told about a place which sold saltwater stuff which was hidden. It was an unmarked warehouse. When I asked someone about making a small invertebrates only tank the owner came out and went up one side of me and down the other about how stupid I was (admittedly I didn’t know anything about saltwater tanks which was why I was asking) and he said I should never own pets because I’m just a cruel person for wanting to kill everything. I literally only asked if there was a way to make a small invert tank. Never got a word in after the question. Took 10 years before I tried my hand at reef tanks and I especially love seeing these nano and pico tanks.

Iv been running something like this for about 4 years, the best part about it is even if you do neglect the tank for a few weeks back to back 75% water changes have fixed any issues that have arised

I find a 20/30 gallon is a nice sweet spot for a nano tank. Less than that... You suffer for space, larger than that...more work/maintenance. This tank is gorgeous though, you got alot to fit in there. I would take out the torch.

I've had a few large tanks in the past with success. I'm getting back into the hobby and I'm thinking about starting with a 5 gallon. This potential tank ironically has me the most nervous.
