END THEME - 5 Centimeters per Second

Sometimes, I overhear people say “I want to play this piece or that piece because it’s easy”… and it honestly makes me a bit sad. Obviously, difficulty will always be a part of the consideration, but I think we should think first about how much we would love to perform this piece, or how much it affects us.

This End Theme is no exception. It’s such a simple arrangement, yet for me, it means the whole world. At the beginning, this section represents naivety, and sometimes, with a nervous stance. I play it in a careful, almost unknowingly way. The middle section of the arrangement represents life as we live it. And by the end, we repeat the beginning section.

But at the end… I played it as if I was an old man, full of memories, looking back at all that has happened in my life. I play it much more confidently, much more assured. At the end, I finish with a smile on my face, without regrets. There were a lot of good moments, and a lot of hard times as well. But all of it made me who I am today – and that is why it ends in a happy, peaceful note.

I hope you guys enjoyed this Friday’s upload. My digital piano is still out of order as I’m looking around for someone to refinish it to a shiny piano black.

I truly thank you for playing the piece of music that has affected me the most. About two months before I saw this film, my long distance relationship had ended and this movie was almost a biography of what happened to me. When I heard this piece I cried for a very long time and I'll never forget it.

Ahh, I really love this song- And it's played with so much emotion. 

And it reminds me of the movie- 
It was almost reflective of reality, I feel. An ambiguous ending I felt was neither too happy nor too sad but simply real-

This was the first and probably only anime which, without any twists nor turns, no exciting plot devices, kept me on the edge of my seat for it's entire duration. When he waited in that train car not knowing when it'd move again, i cried for him.

The person i'm about to talk about is the most amazing person you will ever be able to meet, the person whom I fell in love with.
I never felt anything close to how I feel to her with anyone else.
She is the only person in this world I have ever felt natural with, the only one who could really understand me and my feelings.
When I listen to this, all I can think of is One more time,
to hear her beloved voice
to smell her addicted smell
to see her pretty face
One more chance,
to be with her,
to be the person who will try to make her feel like how she deserves.
The more precious someone to you, the harder for you to accept the fact that there will be no more time, there will be no more chance, and all left are memories. She is the most precious person for me, and anywhere, at anytime I will be willing to do anything for her good.
If you love someone, don't do the same mistake I did, do not take those good times for granted. Experiance the moment as it's your last chance to be with them. Allways let them know how you feel and never take them for granted.

Literally for years now, I've known how to play a simpler version of this song, and every time I play it, it makes me feel so full of emotion. It is simple, yes, but yet so beautiful and expressive. This arrangement is very nice, once/if you upload the sheet music, I will print it out and learn it straight away! Amazing job, as always.
