IF you understand how hadoop (or any DFS) then this explanation of a "data lake" makes VERY GOOD sense. I really like all the Intrincity videos I've ever viewed KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK !

I just looked at this for the first time, I’m wondering why this concept is such a big deal. Wouldn’t data simply get sent to one place and automatically sent to a destination folder based on the file extension? Eg, all .pdf extension to one place ect ect?
