Even though The Magician's Nephew is my absolute favorite Narnia book, I'm really not sure you should read it before Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe, because as a prequel, MN is very much meant to explain certain details you should already know from LWW.

However, the Narnia series is fun and you can feel free to read it in whatever order you feel like. MN in particular is interesting right now because I feel like "The Boy and the Heron" partially feels like an adaptation of it.

I'd definitely start the Narnia series from Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe. It's crucial for the understanding of the whole concept of the series. And also, that was the order that Lewis prefered.

I went to the Shakespeare and company in Paris and got Taming of the Shrew, my favorite Shakespeare play, in that same small gilded book style. I treasure it!

Also parable of the sower is so good, you’ll love it!
