Years ago i started playing world of tanks and was immediately captivated by the intense pvp. then after some time i heard whispers of a new game world of warships and from that point i never looked back! the history, realistic renditions of warships and the team play is what keeps me coming back for more day after day!

To be honest i'm a history-nut, and always done well at school in subjects around the theme.

Especially i did find the WWII interesting.. with all the big steel monsters, and read books about the sinking of Bismarck, Tirpitz, Hood, Scharnhorst etc.

I've played some similar games, but none had the same excitement as this, so been playing for over 2 years. Also met some folks i will call friends 😊🤘

I started playing World of Tanks after a friend begged, pleaded and dragged me in. I heard about the development of ships and told my clan and friends that once Alpha started I was going to jump in right away. I have always had a fascination with warships, I build models and have a unique collection of "Die Cast Metal" Warships which include the Monitor and Virginia Ironclads. Once Warships went into Alpha I was not immediately invited but got to test some at the very tail end before going into closed Beta. I played throughout all the Betas and have been playing ever since.

Simple, weeb ship girls brought me to this game and made me interested in naval history and become ship lovers.

Main reason why I play? My grandpa. Who was a Vietnam Navy vet, told me about this game. He wasn't on some destroyer, cruiser, or carrier. he was on a tank landing ship reconfigured as a helicopter pad (USS Hunterdon County, patrolled the Mekong delta) and helped guide the Hueys in to rearm and supply. My great grandfather fought in WWII (is another reason why i play). He was in a PBM-5 patrol aircraft and was on the first scout mission into Tokyo bay, seeing if Japan really did surrender. One final reason why I play the game is the fact that the developers actually treat the playerbase with respect, unlike WoT.

I had always known about the game due to ads and whatnot but never played it, one day I see my brother playing it and he’s all exited about it and gets me to play just a couple rounds

Right off the bat I loved the game and we have had many good times playing it

Sadly though he’s moved away but whenever he comes over to visit I show him our progress on the account what new ships we have and play a bit together :)

I have an interest in WW2 naval movies. On a Youtube search, a world of warships replay video came up. So I watched it. I knew I'd love this game. So I bought a computer that could run it. I watch vids almost every day and play almost every day. Now, I'm posting training videos myself. No profit... just fun. So why do I play? ONE WORD... fun!

I came from 'World of Tanks'... I also had two Uncles who were in the US Navy (from Vietnam onwards until the start of the 90's) as officers. So there is that personal connection there too.

I play World of Warships because of the ships i joined in the open beta with a friend and we really enjoyed the game it took awhile for us to learn how to play we kept on getting killed over and over but we had fun doing so. Now we are in 2018 and still playing. Amazing game.
