On a biological level, magnetism isn't going to hurt us. Think about going into an MRI. It might affect us if we have electronic implants. It might affect some animal or plant behavior, but that would return to normal after the magnetism goes away.

Hey Neil, the Martian of NASA, electrochemical is a response in humans, not robots. Martian wouldn't know that.
