I saw it and it is extremely impressive. Every face is different and there were horses and chariots also.the were originally colored but time has worn them. A truly unique treasure.

I saw them twice before. They have slowly excavated them. Some were backfilled because we didn’t have the technology to preserve the coloration once exposed to air. There are a lot more soldiers buried and only a fraction was revealed. Very very impressive. Amazing China. 🇨🇳

After seeing archeological finds like this and the various paintings, mountain grottos, historical records, the clothes, hairstyles, culture of various dynasties that's detailed in films and dramas are historically correct

I think they were made to do more than guard him in afterlife.

If I had an army back then I would use them to make my army appear larger than it actually was.

You won wars with numbers back then, from a distance they would blend in and make it look like you had a much larger army.

I think that is the better explanation but that’s just my thoughts.

Those used to be fully colored as well, but as soon as they unearthed the statues, the paint immediately disintegrated.
