Në Tiranën Tonë - In Our Tirana (English Lyircs)

"Në Tiranën Tonë" (In Our Tirana), is an Albanian communist patriotic song, sung in celebration of Enver Hoxha, leader of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania from 1944 to 1985, and the capital city of Albania, Tirana. Before World War II, Albania was an agrarian backwater, being left in a poor state after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. During World War II much of Tirana, particularly people's houses and industry, was destroyed by the Fascist Occupiers, when the war ended in 1945 and Enver Hoxha and the PPSH (Party of Labour of Albania) was elected into power, he set about rebuilding Tirana and the whole of Albania, and rebuilding it beyond what Albania ever was previously. No longer was food expensive and hard to get, no longer was work unfulfilling and exploited by an oppressive class, no longer would citizens go cold on the streets, homeless, or be forced to make do in hellish slums. Hoxha's policies rebuilt Tirana and Albania, gave every citizen a place to belong, a greater purpose, and for the first and only time in their history, democracy and freedom.

Na era de Hoxha, havia pleno emprego, assistência médica universal e gratuita, ensino para todos, criminalidade zero, pois estudei na universidade aqui, com um professor, que havia sido exilado em 1968, foi parar na Albânia, com sua família, foi recebido com cortesia e humanidade, recebeu o cargo de professor de economia na Universidade Nacional em Tirana, sua esposa, pedagoga,formada aqui idem seus filhos foram levados á institutos técnicos, e depois se formaram engenheiros, voltaram ao Brasil, após 1982, com a anistia, voltando a serem professores aqui, seus filhos ficaram lá, empregados e com famílias formadas.
Após a queda do sistema implantado por Hoxha, tudo mudou para pior, a "democracia", ocidental, transformou o país num vassalo de interesses financistas ocidentais, surgindo máfias, desemprego, cidades sujas a mal cuidadas, esse professor mostrava fotos, vídeos, sobra a vida que eles levavam na era Hoxha, agora, decadência, pobre Albânia de hoje!
