Recipe:
- Mix together 2 tbsp soy sauce + 1 tbsp oyster sauce + 1/2 tbsp honey + 1 tbsp water + 2 clove of minced garlic + 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Slice 6 oz of sliced beef (I used sirloin) and add to marinade. Set aside.
- Wash 1 cup of rice and add 1 cup of water.
- Add 1/2 diced yellow onion, 1/2 c diced carrots, 1/2 c diced bell pepper, and 1/2 c frozen corn.
- If you want the dish to be more “authentic”, you can add a little butter (~1 tbsp)
- Turn rice cooker on.
- Optional: Add sliced green onions

Note: Feel free to use frozen veggies! They’re just as nutritious as fresh vegetables but much more convenient!

If you put the meat at the base and then the rice, veggies, water and seasonings on top, the meat will have a nice small amount of carmelization on it too!! Makes it feel less like just steamed meat if that's not something you are into.

I've made your first rice cooker recipe a few times when im really struggling with my chronic illness and it always makes me feel a bit better knowing i was able to take care of myself instead of ordering food. Love your videos!

I made this in the instant pot on high pressure for 5 minutes. I used minced beef and tofu as well as a mix of fresh & frozen vegetables. It tasted really nice! So easy and quick! Thx

I used to have major anxiety attacks from cooking and was constantly having issues with cooking healthy things when I did.
