Hector this was a beautifully shot informative piece of art. You truly captured the spirit of The Sapuer's movement. I seen the Guinness ad years ago and it has stayed with me. The warm tones the elegant suits and the backdrop of raw living. All captured with a touch of elegance . Bravo and thanks for the inspiration

Thus one is alot better then the other documentary. It was just friendship and community in this one. The other one is all about look at my super expensive shoes while my family is literally eating leaves

I find it absolutely touching, I may not agree with it especially sacrificing the wellbeing of children and the family at large. But at the end of the day we have to lead our lives in a way that makes us happy and sometimes by doing that you may offend or be lambasted for doing so.

Some people today will call this cultural appropriation or cultural destruction and will try to tell these fine gentlemen that what they are doing is wrong, that they should wear traditional African garb, that them wearing these outfits is actually an oppression of the colonial era.

These men are CHOOSING to dress like this and are spreading JOY and HAPPINESS and showing that you can decide your own look without spending a crap ton of money! Good on these gents, I am an upper-middle-class American white male and these men dress better than I do! They are an inspiration. I want to dress like THEM! God bless these men!

Okey "if Being a Sapeur is not about money, we borrow each other cloths because as they always say:its not the cost of the suit that counts, it's the worth of the man inside"..then it is totally the don't make any sense!!!
Anyways, I support Sapeurs cuz they indeed gives joy peace and hope...Severin and Maxime Pivot is really one of the most badass sapeur...love their styles, serious attitude and dedication ....

i kind of understand them, i usually dressed full blown in designers just to pick up some baguette and tofu in whole foods, then come back home again. took me 2 hours to get ready and only 30 minutes wearing it. definitely worth it.

Honestly why doesn't everywhere have something like this. Only other places I can think of are the various fashion movements in Japan and Korea that can come close to matching this type of swagger

The guys definitely have the swagger...like at the beginning why not let the very amazing skilled tailors take their style 2 the next level instead of purchasing those expensive suits from overseas adding 2 the already elites bank accounts rather than keeping money flowing in their own communities 🤔
