Are Minecraft Realms on Bedrock Worth It? This is a NEW Minecraft 1.20.2 server video. In this video, I will be purchasing and testing out a Minecraft Realm for Bedrock Edition. Realms are Minecraft servers hosted by Mojang/Microsoft themselves. With a dedicated button in Minecraft's main menu. It supposedly is a big deal. But what are Minecraft Realms all about? And are they actually worth the €8 price? For Java, I did not think so. But supposedly, Realms a way better on Bedrock Edition. So today, it is time to test those out too Well, that is what we will be finding out today! It's very epic, fun, amazing and poggers! This will make playing Minecraft insane and amazing! In our use case, it's worth it. 3rd party servers always lag for us and it's literally unplayable, especially on Bedrock. Realms changed that, and for the price split between us 4, it's really, really worth it.

you also forgot that you can add resource and behaviour pack in bedrock which is basicly datapacks

There is a DNS for consoles for adding server list by joining any server. That works and I can play my cross play server from my Switch

you can download external mods aswell on bedrock realms by using the resource packs and behavior packs

if you explore enough of the infinite world, the file size gets so big in realms that the servers mojang hosts literally wont support you and the server rolls back every hour to a half hour deleting the past entire gameplay session of progress unless your the server owner, even playing solo as any member you get horrendous world loading, maintainging, and self deletion. Its like a lab experiment grown in a cage getting dangerous despite its uniqueness, natural beauty, and plenty of wonderful memories with it when it was a baby, and needs to be sedated every half hour, but its indestructible and you cant change it. all you can do is abandon it and start anew, but then what was the point if you already know the limits, the fate of the thing your raising?

if a 10 person bedrock realm cant support my infinite imagination and exploration for $15 a month that i was promised all those years back for the original java trailers of the game saying what you do is up to you, it shouldn't be a thing.

had too many good realms self collapse like blackholes to try running them on realms anymore, so im moving to actually programming one so I never have to worry about limitations again.

Relms is ok on bedrock because it shows up in friend list witch is better for xbox, nintendo and playstation

The best part about bedrock realms is that there's no limit for adding add-ons, plus you don't have to worry about lag issues, cpu, ram or any of that!
Storages doesn't exist on realms unlike any server's which requires upgrading your plan for better performance lol.

Realms is most like for friends to play with if only you can play at least 20 players tho

some thing make bedrock realme better is you can add addons its like the data back

i do think that on bedrock it is worth it because you can use addons and datapacks not because xbox can't join other servers
but agreed do not recommend java realm whould expect addons to work

About that Console Part for the really smart ones there is an workaround to play additional servers on consoles! 👍

Behavior packs work on realms and those are basically datapacks

My Gf and I playing sometimes splitscreen on xbox, we bought a realm on mobile with some texture packs and dynamic light :)

You can actually get external servers on console as a console player myself I use bedrocktogether on my phone and it gives me a server to join on my console

realms really trash waste of your money and time, batter to make a Minecraft server on your computer and do whatever you want no limits

A Bedrock realm is worth is to me so I can switch between console and PC on the same world. It also allows me and my sons to play together on separate TVs instead of doing split screen.

2:10 Oh wow, didn't know that it isn't a feature on some editions! Especially, with their push to combine platforms with the "Better Together" update.
Although, asking just to replenish my knowledge: doesn't multiplayer on switch require a switch online subscription?
