I don't know why but demon slayer fans consider tangen weaker than other hashiras but his has fighting experience from which he felt the presence of giyutaru even when he was not present but in S3 EP3 mist breathing hashira didn't feel presence of any movement of upper 4 when he cuts his head and going to split in half tanjiro told him to stay away.
