One thing I love about Omanyala is that he's showing that distance running isn't all the Kenyans can do. He's breaking a stereotype to lead to something new. Just like that Kenyan javelin thrower Julius Yego. And what's more impressive is that the first African sprinter to run a sub 9.80 second 100m isn't even of west African origin or descent, breaking another stereotype. Ferdinand Omanyala has done something truly historic indeed.
