PlayStation 5 Pulse 3D vs Astro A20 - Which PS5 Headset is better?

Which PlayStation 5 headset to buy? I couldn’t decide which headset I wanted to use on the PS5, so I got both to compare. The Sony Pulse 3D vs the Astro A20 Gen 2 headset. Which is better for style, microphone, connectivity, sound, features and build quality?

Both are wireless headsets, both are around £100/$100 and both are available now. But which one do I recommend, and which will I keep? I will compare them both side by side and give my opinion on everything. #PlayStation5 #AstroA20 #Pulse3D

I also got both after watching this video. My experience:
Pulse have better software integration obviously.
Pulse are way more uncomfortable.
Astro have lots of audio bleed, my friends said they could hear themselves as they were talking.
Astro sounds very high pitch for me.
The Astro only wins in terms of confort for me (which is very important if you play for long sessions) but I’ll be keeping the Pulse 3D.

Yes, you can still hear it in dolby!!! It’s all in the ps5 settings. Choose AV then 5.1, output on headset pick chat audio. Prioritize dolby not linear pcm. boom dolby just like the a50’s

The Sony 3d Pulse will get an upgrade with the newest firmware for your PS5. This way you can change the equalizers so you can tune it more.
This should be a big improvement so don't just throw away or sell your Sony 3d Pulse!

For the reviewer, I hope you have some fans in your cabinet, because otherwise your PS5 will overheat....

As of the writing of this comment, there’s an update for the Pulse3D headset which allows for EQ and audio presets. Well done Sony.

I love my pulse 3D there’s plenty of bass on my headset and I had no problems with the mic also 🤔😲👍🏻

I have the pulse 3D and it is really cool, it’s really comfy, it has a lot of extra settings that most headsets don’t have, and in my opinion I think they look way cooler and the quality is also great.

been using the steelseries Arctis 7 for years and just recently started random disconnecting. I almost bought the Pulse headset until I found this video! Even 2 years later and still helping people like me 😀

What an excellent, straightforward, honest video without fluff. Really appreciate this. Felt shoehorned into pulse 3D but had seen some very iffy comments on Reddit. All reviews seemed paid to be positive or just vague enough. This video gave me a great picture of the issues with them and I now feel comfortable spending the extra $20 on the A20s. Thanks man.

PS5 I like the pulse 3D & you’re right about everything. The A20’s are amazing but recently I’ve purchased the Arctis 7P & they’re super loud. I also bought the turtle Beach 600 I think they r & they’re actually loud. My fav is the Arctis 7P
