I’m very happy to say that the cake mentioned in this video was mine. This was done at the first ever LeMons in Monterey and my girlfriend (wife know) made a spectacular cake with her sister and former baker mother of my 1984 Fiat Ritmo Cabrio, Palinuro Edition. It won me first place although at this show you never know if first place is good or bad...probably bad. Been at this show nearly every year with a different car in the collection. Keep it up Alan.

I had heard of it. And I've been to a Lemons race at Carolina Motorsports Park. I love the fact that same people that would take a car to Pebble Beach would also take a (different) car to Concours de Lemons. Great video - a good "fun Friday" video post.

It's good to have stuff like the lemons to maintain a balance in 'the force'.
Everyone is of course entitled to their opinions of various vehicles, makes, forms and activities but in the end the passion to do stuff with the cars is the uniting factorn whether you're blowing each speck of dust off a stanced slug or purposely adding rust to a beater to make it look as beaten as possible while remaining usable.

Great story, I hate what the Concours has become; I remember as a kid getting to walk right in with my dad the day of, without all the pomp that has come with the past decade. Randomly got to meet Emerson Fittipaldi one year as he was walking out of the show; made this little 9 year old's year.

This is awesome. I stopped going to Carmel because of how stuffy it became but hearing about this I may go, having this light hearted fun show poking a bit of fun at all the uptight jackasses at pebble would improve the overall experience greatly. Also, this guy is an absolute gem, looking at him you’d think he was a Ivy League doucher but he opens his mouth and funny pours out. Gold.
