“Let’s Look for Swedes” was originally a talk show bit from the 1930s, but they found that it didn’t play as well over the radio … and the outcome was far less comical once the Swede was located.

This is the type of stuff I miss that Dave used to do. Today someone would probably accuse a show of being racist, homophobic, or sexist for doing bits like this. They’re funny! Almost any humor is going to offend SOMEone. That’s why it’s funny! It’s irreverent and unexpected.
