Love the body language from Optimus, when he says “Your” mistakes, he gets up and walks away from Cade, like he doesn’t want to be anywhere near him

I know how Optimus feels, the Autobots are pretty likes sons and daughters to him, they look up to him and see hope that they might win the war, but the humans don't see that, they think of them as monsters, machines, and I can't stand that

One of the only scenes of character development in the Transformers franchise. And those are more rare than gold.

Cade restored faith in optimus. Yes we should all try to see the beautiful things in every ugly things. And that itself isnt an easy thing to do

Sam to Optimus: "You always said that freedom was the right of all sentient beings. Well even freedom has its price. But that's why you gotta have faith, Prime. *You may lose your faith in us, **_but never in yourself."_*

“We make mistakes, sometimes out of those mistakes comes the most amazing things” 🙌🏻

That last sound Optimus made at the end of this video is almost like Him sharing human emotions, a little heart to heart with a man from a race who has not only betrayed Optimus, but that human himself. That was a bond they created, and I don’t think Bay got the recognition he deserves for that one

This movie is underrated. It came so close to actually acknowledging and exploring Optimus' brutality and trauma and treated the Autobots like actual characters with personalities and emotions instead of just military background set pieces

There's something about that last sound effect when Optimus is turning (at 0:52) that I really like.

Cade tells Optimus that there are still good humans out there.

It would be so beautiful if Cade actually said "You may lose your faith in us, but never in yourself!" Just like how Prime told Sam .

That’s what made Sam and Cade special compared to everyone who owned a transformer. They inspired hope for humans between transformers.

I think optimus has a flashback about the lives they had back in cybertron before the war. How simple everything was and there was no war, no guns and no fighting.

this scene is powerful. For all the fans who hate this movie im gonna explain this to you.

In AOE Optimus was angry and sad at the same time BECAUSE he was all about freedom and self sacrifice, save others, But humans took advantage of his generosity and abused him and his friends. Here in this scene he's probably thinking he was living a mistake his whole life because he was standing up for the wrong thing. Now he will do ALL the defend those who are his family. And it's tough to be that being who once fought for everyone's peace. Now if you feel like that your gonna get hurt as well.

This movie was awesome

What's telling here is that Cade basically makes Optimus remember what he told Ironhide in the first film. Ironhide says the humans are a "primitive and violent race". Optimus counters, saying that "Were we so different? They're a young species. They have much to learn. But I've seen goodness in them". Basically, he's reminded of what he initially believed about humans. That they have the POTENTIAL to be good and better than they are.

And in terms of time vs Cybertronians, are a young species, who still have time to learn. Considering the fact that Cybertronians, despite being much older, still resorted to violence and destruction, it's not surprising that humanity has a long way to go as well. But that Optimus was still young and wasn't being betrayed by humans yet. Cade simply reminds him that there are humans worth fighting for, even if some of them themselves are bastards.

I watch this scene every time I feel sad, depressed or angry.

An accurate internal dialogue between a mans heart (Cade) and a mans brain (Optimus) after suffering lifes hardships, be it family loss, betrayal, divorce, etc.

I love this movie and this scene has always stuck with me. Things aren't great for me at the moment and I always find myself coming back to this scene. The advice here, it keeps me going

This scene helped me love Cade as a character, he brought Optimus’s lost faith back TO Optimus
