Let's Play iOS Music Apps: Jam with Jordan
Показать описание
In this edition of Let's Play with iOS Music Apps, I'm taking a look at Jam with Jordan, from Audiokit, and show what I like about it and why. It received a recent update, and according to the latest release notes, new sounds will be coming to the app soon, free for current users.
This app does support AUv3, and there is no MIDI in or out, so that may be a dealbreaker for some, but I find myself coming back to it again and again, especially when I need inspiration, or just want to use a music app that doesn't require all my brain cells.
For those interested in the details of the app and how to use it, I highly recommend checking the recent video of it at the Sound Test Room at the link below.
There are still a couple bugs in the app - sometimes the pads get stuck on notes for example (just switch between Notes/Patterns to clear it), but one of the bugs was recently fixed after I reported it (thanks @analogmatthew), and I'm hoping it will get more fixes and updates, and if this app gets more attention that will help.
It's a really fun app for kids and anyone who wants to experiment with a wide variety of scales and sounds, in an easy to use, and fun interface. I use it to work on my ear training, recognition of chords and chord changes, scales, and improvisation.
