Queensland Premier Miles makes embarrassing gaffe at media conference

Queensland Premier Steven Miles has had an embarrassing blunder in Central Queensland – forgetting the name of Labor's candidate for the seat where he's spending the day campaigning.

The Premier was in Rockhampton on Tuesday morning, holding a media conference in the Katter-held seat of Mirani, and was spruiking the government's plan to boost safety on the Bruce Highway when a journalist asked him who the Labor candidate for the seat was.

Mr Miles stuttered when providing his answer.

Labor’s candidate Susan Teder, a social worker who grew up on nearby sugar cane farms, however this detail was seemingly lost on Mr Miles who could not immediately recall her name.
