What these same people fail to realise is that theyre multiple sources that give out motm... that said, some are better than others. Messi has 303 MOTMs on WhoScored. This site is not linked to any top leagues.
The official MOTM stat, is given 20ish minutes after a game has ended, in the criteria, which is supported by: Premier League, Laliga, Copa America, World Cup, Euros, Nations League, ligue 1 (all leagues played in by both) Ronaldo has officially the more MOTMs... at 263 > 228

So i dont know where this whole MOTM thing started, but even as messi fan main logic, it only works becuase WhoScored is ran differently, and by a group of people 😭
