The water planet TERRIFIED me like i was just stunlocked the entire time i needed to explore there. This game really play with all kind of fears and its absolutly sure you will be uncomfortable and/or scared on at least one of the planets

Some games are art, gaming is not art. The idea that all games are art is a hunger for legitimacy. Some devs are very shamed to be making games instead of something of real value (they think) like movies or presrige tv. Poor sods. And poor us, who have to get through their nonesense, boring and very easy games, where story is first and gameplay is third (music is second, don't believe me? Play Kojima or Neil Drunkman).

Remember Al Pacini last year in the game awards? Why Al Pacino? I will tell you why. Because games are hungey for legitimacy, and if Al Pacino, who is considered a respected artist, backs games, then games maybe, just maybe, will get some of that respect.

But, you know who gives a damn abiut that? Miyazaki. The best game developer of the past decade. A developer who makes games with gameplay first, music second and story third. Games are defines by gameplay. It's in the name. A game with gameplay but no music or story is still a game, and a even a great game. Examples are many.

But are games with 99% story and 1% gameplay good? No. But some reviewers won't dare say it. They will say, it's less than great or some other euphemism. They will say the game has a great story and score but its gameplay is lacking, when they should say it's a damn bad game.

Art is not defined by the emotions it makes you feel. Going on vacation, seeing your friends, having sex, getting a raise, seeing your niece recovering from a surgery, all these experiences stir your emotions but you won't consider them art. But these things are no less valuable than Picasso or Michaelangelo or Diego Rivera.

Games don't need to be art to move you.

Games don't need to ne art to be of value. Calling them art is an insult to games. It implies they are valuable because they art not because they're games. It implies most visual novels have more value (and therefore are better) than Doom or Dark Souls, simply because Doom and Dark Souls are focused in gameplay and its mechanics, while visual novels focus on the story and character personalities.
