Lyrics

Peace Frog:

There's blood in the streets, it's up to my ankles
She came
There's blood on the streets, it's up to my knee
She came
Blood on the streets in the town of chicago
She came
Blood on the rise, it's following me

Think about the break of day
She came and then she drove away
Sunlight in her hair

She came
Blood in the streets runs a river of sadness
She came
Blood in the streets it's up to my thigh
She came
Yeah the river runs down the legs of the city
She came
The women are crying red rivers of weepin'
She came into town and then she drove away
Sunlight in her hair

Indians scattered on dawn's highway bleeding
Ghosts crowd the young child's fragile eggshell mind

Blood in the streets in the town of new haven
Blood stains the roofs and the palm trees of venice
Blood in my love in the terrible summer
Bloody red sun of fantastic L.A.
Blood streams her brain as they chop off her fingers
Blood will be born in the birth of a nation
Blood is the rose of mysterious union

There's blood in the streets, it's up to my ankles
Blood in the streets, it's up to my knee
Blood in the streets in the town of chicago
Blood on the rise, it's following me

Blue Sunday:

I found my own true love was on a blue sunday.
She looked at me and told me
I was the only, one in the world.
Now I have found my girl.
My girl awaits for me in tender times
My girl is mine, she is the world
She is my girl.
La, la, la, la
My girl awaits for me in tender times
My girl is mine, she is the world
She is my girl.

Can't listen to Peace Frog without Blue Sunday and can't listen to Blue Sunday without Peace Frog. The Doors forever.

When I was locked up (Only Jail, Only Three Months, Petty Offenses) I would sing in My cell at nights often.
At that point in time, I was 27 (Ironically).
I discovered Morrison/The Doors at approximately age 13, First song I heard was "Alabama Song".
It was basically Love At First Sound.
The Doors are the reason I ever got into Music as much as I did and to this day am, Also the reason I found an interest in - Followed by passion and ability - Playing Guitar.
My first guitar I ever had, Gibson SG - Same Model/Make/Color/Etcetera as Robby's (Thank You, Grandma).
Over Time, However, I had grown more into Singing than Guitar.
Morrison was My Primary Inspiration, In a way, He became My "Vocal Coach" as I essentially based The Blueprint of Vocals off of Morrison and worked from there and honestly it yielded positive results.

Anyway, I would sing in My cell at "Lights Out" often.
I'm sure it is not hard to believe that Rap/Hip Hop are the Primary Choice of Music as far as the majority population in Jail goes.
You would think the White Guy singing The Doors, Pink Floyd, And So On would get irritating, But the fact I was actually "Able" to Sing was My Pass in a sense.
As I said, I would sing The Doors often - So, One day this Black Kid about 22 came up and said it's His Girls Birthday and asked Me if I could sing Her a song on the phone for Him (He Gave Me Two Ramen Noodles Too lol).
When He said It's "My Girls" Birthday (Plus the fact He was locked up while She was out Waiting for Him), I instantly thought "Blue Sunday".
"My Girl awaits for Me in tender Time...".

Just an interesting little story I am reminded of when I hear This Song Now.

When you look back and see the fluff that other bands were creating at the same time, the Doors was a quantum leap forward. I got to see them perform in Long Beach, California, and I can tell you that the majority of the audience were stoned out of their minds. They wouldn't sit down and formed this long, rotating chain --- to the irritation of people like myself who actually came to the concert to hear the Doors perform. But the thing I remember the most was this uncanny atmosphere, not a comfortable atmosphere, where anything and everything Morrison said was heard as a kind of rallying cry. He flamed the cops, the establishment, and the audience sucked it up. If he had said let's move outside and set this town on fire, I don''t have much doubt that the audience would have followed him. He possessed that kind of hypnotic, messianic charisma, which at my early age I found fascinating but highly alarming.

Incredible. Just incredible. I would've been so grateful to have been living in the time of the Doors

I always appreciated the irony of this sequence. He starts out sounding like Charles Manson, but by the end, he has transitioned into Robert Goulet.

Initially uploaded this video because all of the other ones on YouTube had a bad transition into Blue Sunday. I know the quality isn't great and the transition isn't perfect, but I only hope it's good enough for everyone to enjoy these great songs together.

Beautifully executed changes. The tumbly surprise endings remind me of Mozart (!). Even 'Blue Sunday" and it's transition seem like one of Mozart's innocuous and mercifully short slow movements.
