Nice to see ya! 😁 I propagate Hoya the exact same way, but with perlite! I like how you don’t have to stress about removing all the perlite when potting the cutting into soil. I’m grow all my plants in soil so I have to try your method just going straight in!

You literally made my day at the 1/2 way point. Came across his video and suddenly you were saying your goodbyes and I thought... Wait what, we're barely 50% in. And then you start with the shot of tequila and the words start coming!!! Just subscribe to your channel, can't wait for more

Perfect timing! I just got my first hoyas yesterday. A fully rooted compacta carnosa, and linearis cuttings! I put the linearis right in soil like you suggested. Thanks adam!

Yay! Just the video I needed to see today. I've yet to prop any of my hoyas out of irrational fear. This gives me some courage to try!

I am a new hoya own. Long time fan but I gave in. They all 3 are small cutting so this is long distance advice. But.... the soldering iron tip is magic I will be trying that out. I had been useing a lighter and a screwdriver. I have a soldering iron so will give it a go. I like to use odd pots for my outdoor plants and it's a huge pain with a lighter. Thank you so much

The Silver Dollar is so pretty😍 Still looking for a Varigated Obavota like yours. lol 2 yrs later. 😀 I don’t think it’s the mites your talking about, but have found tiny mites, I think is coming from the orchid bark. Your new channel sounds like fun, traveling an exploring. 😀💚

Red mites are the worst. Or that is what most people call them 😂 But we all mean the same - small, orange/ red, incredibly hard to spot, and they attack new growth. And the dark/ light test works too! Also you can use damp cotton pad and wipe the bottom and tops of the leaves (typically towards the new growth) and you will see them on the white cotton pad. They are tough to kill but what works for me and all the collectors from Sweden (where I got this tip from) is to use sulphur based fungicide (that also works as acaricide). The one I use is called Kumulus. Usually one treatment kills them, but I do it twice. It leaves white deposit on the leaves that you can always see on my hoyas 😂 but I don't care, it kills the bastards. There is a more insidious type of mite that burrows in the tissue of the new growth and that one is basically a death sentence. The Swedish collectors call those top shoot mite, but I am having a hard time pinpointing which exact mite it is 🤔
