On May 9th, ScreenGeek broke the exclusive scoop that Warner were considering replacing Ezra Miller with Dylan O’Brien for the upcoming Flash movie, you know in light of Ezra’s ever mounting legal issues, as well as more recent accusations. Just hours later, a journalist associated with Variety tweeted that he was told that WB are NOT considering replacing Ezra, and then that tweet got picked up everywhere – CBR for instance, got a story out there based on that tweet before Variety did a full writeup.
So, does that mean Ezra is safe, and Warner never considered replacing him? Or this a corporate denial aimed at killing a troublesome story before it got any traction?

We shall see, for in this editorial, @AndreEinherjar will begin by going through the articles referenced, and the timeline of events, from which some inferences can be made – and finally, he’ll reiterate what we’ve heard from our own sources.

And yet WB had absolutely no problem firing Johnny Depp based on rumors but Ezra actually had public issues.

So Ezra attacks women MULTIPLE times and gets arrested and WB is fine with it.
Meanwhile, JD is only accused with no evidence and he’s out.
Hmm…

If he's in Flashpoint, I'm even less likely to see that than Aquaman 2 with the Madame Poopy. And my memory is *long*.

No one is gonna forget a guy who choked one girl, threw a object directly at the head of another, attacked a guy in a bar who was just playing darts and broke into the bed room of a couple, bare in mind these are just the ones we know about

Maybe they will just not renew his contract. That's the safe way out.

Honestly, I would like Dylan O'Brien to take over the role of Barry Allen, he's a decent actor and does the whole socially awkward act a hell of a lot better than Miller. O'Brien has charisma and comes across as very likeable and comedic. He also has a great deal of experience doing a lot of running...

We all want to see Michael Keaton as Batman again. But none of us want to see Ezra Miller as anything again.

If you know Flashpoint, it’s a simple fix - just have Flash return home after the movies climax and presto he has a new face- can even be a new character Wally West, Jay Garrick, Bart Allen or Barry Allen with a new face and new retro history - just get a new actor.

The Flash will be the Captain Marvel for 2024, or whenever it’s supposed to come out.

Brilliant. Bugs and Daffy as stand-ins for WB execs. Comedy gold there.

I don't care how many versions of The Flash he's playing, I won't be seeing ant beacuse I won't watch the movie. Same for Heard, I don't care how many minutes she's in Aquaman, I'm not even watching the trailers...

The rumors said they may are considering removing *as* the Flash, but can't be removed from The Flash movie. In his reply tweet, Adam states that "It is also worth noting that THE FLASH finished shooting months ago, and Ezra Miller plays multiple versions of Barry Allen. Replacing them would effectively mean reshooting the entire film."

What is going about is Warner is very likely moving forward with a different actor for the Flash. It doesn't mean Ezra is out from The Flash movie, just means he may be out _moving forward._ It's how I interpreted it and it's how many others do as well. Warner may be removing Heard from Aquaman 2 (which hasn't begun filming), but they can't remove Ezra from The Flash. The cost would be too great and it would take well over a billion to break even after that. No studio, however business savvy, would do that. In this case, Warner's going to take the L and start fresh.

Someone in Warner Brothers was really, really determined to make Ezra Miller "happen".
I would put good money on the possibility that either that person is now looking for work, consigned to duties designed to make them *want* to look for work, or that an internal investigation is going on to determine exactly who said person or persons was/were to remove them.

Just because he is not fired, doesn't mean he will be asked to return. He is not an employee of the studio afterall, it's a per contract basis.

Gonna love Hollywood double standards. One got fired by wearing the wrong shoes, while others basically trading war crime for movie deals.
