Assemblyman Brian Bergen held up the U.S. Army issued body armor he wore as an Apache helicopter pilot while serving in Iraq during an Assembly Appropriations Committee hearing in Trenton, Thursday, June 23, 2022. Bergen said veterans would face three to five years in prison and $15,000 in fines for keeping their gear under a bill (A4369) moved forward by the committee that would ban its possession.

There just isnt a logical defense for banning an item that is solely for defense. It can not be used offensively in any way.

As law abiding citizens living the state of Nj and a person who believes in the fifth amendment law I hope and pray that bill does not get passed the Nj laws are on unconstitutional taken away law abiding citizens rights no matter of creed or race the Nj governor and his team are making and creating laws that’s not right Nj law abiding citizens should shave the DAMN right to protect themselves no matter where In Nj the criminals are out here killing and taken advantage of people And it’s not right Nj should a self defense law and have the right to carry law without having trouble from the Nj law enforcement all New Jersey Law abiding citizens should have the right to protect themselves I hope and pray that bill doesn’t get passed
