Back when I played this was my main, it’s just a beauty.

Armour is overrated at these BR’s and if you want to go hull down you play the centurions. This plus the Vickers mk3 makes a great short-range/long-range lineup.

Worst thing? Repair cost 😑

I highly recommend to set the visor to short-range in the settings. Then the range markings stop at 2800m, making the visor much cleaner - and you don't need more anyway

always bring 2-3 hesh as backup vs soft vehicles, if part of a bmp or bradley etc is sticking out behind a wall hit them with it

IIRC the machine gun is used as ranging shot for HESH rounds, as it both share the same velocity

The Vickers is one of those vehicles that’s fun to see going up against more modern vehicles. It’s like a base model T-72 or more similar to Leopard 1. No upgrades, ERA, NV or Thermals but it’s still an ok vehicle to bring along as a backup in uptiers. It also gets bonus points for being visually unique.

My mind was blown when I came down from the lovely Mk3 to this Mk1 Vickers, and found the Mk1 has noticeably better reload and much more APDS penetration. Sure, the Mk1 lacks the Mk3's great gun depression and laser rangefinder, but I think it's better in things like urban combat. A really feisty tank.

You should make a video on the Type 75 SPH! Thing is an absolute blast to play as you just bonk anyone you see, the 4 (I think) loaders make it pretty tanky despite its aluminum armor

Where it really shines is in arcade where you can easily bonk people across the map from cover!
