They don't know much about india..they probably don't want to travel because it is true that we are less developed than korea..but there are many good things to experience in India which can't be experienced in other countries..u won't regret if you travel like a real destination😌

I'm an American last year I traveled to India and Korea on the same trip and it was a vast difference in cultures. Yes much of India is impoverished and polluted but I was really taken back at the hospitality, friendliness, and altruism the people demonstrated there. Koreans I don't think are snobbish or off-putting people it's mainly just a different culture, they are more introverted and less hospitable to foreigners and keep to themselves. I felt like all of Seoul was ghosting me when I was there. I was a bit put off at first but thought to myself If they came to American, they would most likely experience the same, probably worse though as a lot of Americans are intolerant to people who don't speak English. Not to mention anti-Asian racism is prevalent in the US right now because of Covid conspiracies from the poorly educated.

Let me tell you how Youtube algorithm works in English and Korean
In English
Allison Anderson visits Kerala and gets 2 million views
Pack Rat: Smoking Beedi and Drinking Desi Daru in a Delhi Slum gets 25 k views.
In Korean, the algorithm works in the opposite way.
Many Korean vloggers have created negativity and pushed shock in order to get views so they make these kind of vlogs:
Crappy hotels in Delhi
Drinking Desi Daru in Delhi Slum
Eating Street food in Delhi Slum
Discussing Caste System in Mumbai Slum.
This is what sells in Korean.

There is an American food vlogger called Mark Wiens who stays in Bangkok.
His Kerala food series was awesome. His video on eating lava fish in Calicut got 7 million views.
There is another Canadian food vlogger called Trevor James who has a channel Food Ranger. His food vlog in Amristar was awesome and it got 12 million views. Every dish he tried he rated above 9 out of 10.
However no Korean vlogger would make such vlogs in India in Korean because they won't get views.
They will try to create negativity and push shock in order to get views.
They will make a video titled Eating Street Food in Slums in Delhi wilI I fall sick?
Then he will go to a stall and get Momos, he will call them Curry Dumplings.
Then he will go to another stall and get Chicken Tikka Rolls. He will call them Curry rolls.
Then he will see an overflowing dustbin and would throw the roll in the bin. Then he would take out the roll and eat it.
He will say that many people in India eat food from trash. Then he will say that India is a harsh place few people are rich and many live in poverty. Then he will say that India is not able to reduce poverty due to caste system.
That video will get 4 million views and many Koreans in the comments will abuse India and Indians.
First of all India is a Newly Industrialized Country every NIC whether it is China, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines or Mexico has 10 to 20% bad areas.
Even developed countries like USA, France, Spain and Italy have 3 to 5% bad areas.
Also India has had 3rd fastest poverty reduction rate in last 30 years. If India had pushed one child policy and development oriented dictatorship it would have had fastest poverty reduction rate. But then Koreans would have called India a brutal country and would have called for boycott of India.
The Mimosa guy is much better than many Korean vloggers.

In an age of globalization and connectivity it baffles me that stereotypes still exists.. This just proves that there is no cure for ignorance... Even when you have all the knowledge of the world at the tip of your fingers, i guess its still hard to be a little more informed.

Stereotypes originate from old or low-quality data that are employed when sufficient, in-depth knowledge is lacking to make sweeping or ambiguous statements. Stereotypes cannot exist in a vacuum of knowledge. They must update, regardless of where they are getting their information from. Be clear in their comprehension of foreigners if they hope to draw outsiders to K-culture.

Im not shocked to their answers about india because i saw so many korean videos about india, but i am shocked they are speaking english 😂😂😂. May be as a french person (western white person to be precise) living in korea is okay for you but not for me as indian. No country is perfect in this world, as india has its problems every country has its own problems but that doesn't make you to look down on other countries. Even the same south koreans look down on north korean asylum's. Whether you accept it or not south korea is mostly driven and influenced by american culture and thinking that behaving like westerners make them superiors. Every country has good and bad people, but not trying to know the things about other country culture or people is what koreans are doing sticking on to the stereotypes and prejudice what makes me upset. They need to change their mindset, i hope younger teenage generation of koreans will change.
