🔹 It supports schedule backup so that you can backup your files at fixed intervals (daily/weekly/monthly) and choose a way to perform the backup, both full backup and incremental backup are available.

1. Launch it. Then click Backup - File Backup.
2. Click Add File or Add Folder, then select the files or folders you want to backup.

A mistake in video 2:58, you should name the new key as "File History". So it should be: right-click the Windows key, select New > Key and name it as File History.

Is it possible to enable File History in Windows 11 using the local disk as the destination?

I'm aware that this ordinarily would be a bad idea, because all the previous copies of my files would be on *_one_* disk, however I am not concerned about this because I have multiple external regular backups of my files, offline, online and nearline, including multiple separate copies at both the file level and block level to multiple external storage devices and the cloud.

So I am not concerned about the risks of having File History on a single disk, because those risks do not apply in my circumstance.

The reason that I want to add a local File History, is for the times that I want to check an older version of a file but I am away from all my external backups and cannot get access to them, or cannot get quick and easy access to them. On a long plane flight, for example.

In FreeBSD and Solaris I get this thanks to ZFS copy-on-write and I can access older versions of local files locally, but I would like to do this on Windows 11.
