North Carolina's new Democratic leader looks to the state's rural communities

With each and every eIection, more and more of the American people are turning out to vote for Dems. Rural areas will follow suit.

My advice to Ms. Clayton is that (as a North Carolinian) I was severely disappointed and shocked at the campaign ads put out by Cheri Beasley when she lost to Ted Budd! Budd is a gun store owner Freedom Caucus aka Tea Party destroy Washington kind of politician. Beasley is imminently more qualified to be our Fed Senator but her ads were mamby pamby saying nothing much more than her parents raised her to be a good person. Candidates need to be talking about specific issue platforms and ideas. NOT just that Democrats are nice people who care about people but HOW has a candidate PROVEN TRACK RECORD that they can solve problems, not just talk about them.
